Dr. Sandeep Garg, Co-founder and Director at Health City Vistaar, is a pioneer in bringing modern orthopedics to Lucknow after working in various centers of excellence in India and abroad. He introduced academics and teaching to the private sector by organizing workshops, conferences, live demonstration surgeries, and placing Lucknow on the national and global map of trauma and joint replacement surgery. Dr. Garg established a full-fledged department of orthopedics at Vivekananda Polyclinic and introduced the DNB course in orthopedics with four postgraduate seats. He also brought in a unique equity-based model of hospital ownership, where a group of performing doctors own and run the hospital, a first in the region.
